About AI Detector

Learn what AI Detector does, why it exists, and how to interpret its text-screening results.

Our mission

AI Detector is a web-based screening service designed to make AI-writing estimates easier to understand. Our goal is to give people a useful first signal without presenting a statistical result as proof of authorship, misconduct, or the model that produced a piece of text.

What the product does

The text checker reviews statistical and stylistic patterns in submitted writing. It returns an estimated AI likelihood, a confidence level, and a short explanation of the signals considered. These results are intended to support further review, not replace human judgment.

What we do not claim

AI Detector does not claim to identify a specific author or prove that text came from Claude, ChatGPT, or another provider. General AI-writing detection is also different from verifying an official watermark, content credential, or original source.

How submitted text is handled

Submitted text is sent to the configured analysis provider for the request. AI Detector does not persist the raw text in its application database or object storage. Users should not submit confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive information they are not authorized to share.

Who the service is for

The service is built first for people who want to check their own writing and better understand why a passage may resemble AI-generated text. The same cautious interpretation applies whenever a result is reviewed in an educational, editorial, or moderation context.
